About Kay

 

Kay is a life-long resident of Saginaw County. She graduated from Saginaw High in 1957 and currently maintains her residence in Saginaw.  From 1968 to 1972, Kay worked as a copywriter and marketing coordinator for WKNX-AM, the most successful radio station in the area at the time.

 

She went on to a CBS-affiliate TV station, where she worked until 1979. Many in Saginaw came to know her as weather reporter Kay Wyman. She also hosted a talk show, and would wind up her career in broadcasting as the first female Sports Director in the nation. While working in broadcasting, Kay also took the position of marketing and advertising coordinator for Markey Elliot House of Furniture and Ethan Allen. Her ads in Sunday papers earned wide spread recognition for their innovation and eye-catching display.

 

Today, Saginaw has come to Know Kay Vanston as Saginaw's residential real estate expert. Since 1979, Kay has helped Saginaw residents sell more than 2700 homes, totaling over $147 million in sales. For the majority of her career Kay has been the number one residential Realtor in Saginaw County.

 

Kay has raised two sons and two daughters, Bill Hoffmann, Beth Hoffmann, Dean Vanston, Wendy Vanston-Barone, and a grand-daughter, Kristi Kay Hoffmann. She has six other grandchildren: Seth, Alice and Jonathan Vanston, RuthAnn and Joseph Barone, Michael Thomas Hoffmann and 3 great-grandchildren, David Vlassis, Owen and Vincent Lagalo.

 

Kay is highly respected by her clients, customers and colleagues as not only a fair and honest person but a very sincere individual who genuinely loves people.
